Demand
The Agricultural
Information Center customizes information literacy classes to fit
both the students' information needs and the course instructor's research
assignments. Classes are designed in consultation with the course
instructor for both undergraduate and graduate students. Contact Jo

In-Service Workshops
The AIC offers
a variety of workshops targeted for Cooperative Extension personnel
through the UK College of Agriculture In-Service Program. All college
personnel and non-extension collaborators are welcome to attend. These
workshops are conducted at a variety of locations around the state
of Kentucky. Participants will learn about the many services and information
resources available from UK Libraries, as well as improving searching
skills. Most workshops last all day and include plenty of hands-on
practice.

The AIC
conducts a variety of seminars throughout the year for university
personnel and students. Some require pre-registration and have limited
seating, while others do not. Check the seminar descriptions for details.

These
seminars concentrate on the resources and services used by faculty,
staff and graduate students with an emphasis on agriculture &
biological sciences.

in the Classroom Seminars
This group
of seminars is aimed at teaching faculty and is designed to highlight
the technology available for in-class use. The first group of
seminars in the series covers Blackboard, equipment available
and ideas on what can be done with both. No registration is required.

Desktop
Training Services - UK Information Systems offers both Web-based
and instructor-led courses in computer technology, including desktop
applications, programming, web design, networking, and databases.
MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialist) Certification testing is also
available. Courses are limited to UK employees only and take place
in Lexington. Courses vary from no charge to standard industry rates.
UK
Chandler Medical Center Library - The Medical Center Library
offers a varied education program designed to help you improve your
research skills. Medical Center Library staff also conduct training
on a group and individual basis. Topics include medical, nursing,
and Allied Health information resources, software training, as well
as hospital education programs, human resources development classes,
and performance improvement programs.

603C Health Sciences Learning Center, the IT Center offers training
on the following software packages:

in room H31, the mission of The Learning Center is provides educational

T. Young Library - Young Library offers a program of individual
instruction and group classes. Tailored classes are also available.
University
of Kentucky Human Resources - The University's Human Resources
department offers development training classes that cover a wide variety
of topics including administrative computing, business procedures,
and supervision.
