environmental features. Trails take visitors past natural springs,

Cane Ridge Meeting House in Bourbon County was the site of the famous
Cane Ridge revival of 1801, when 20,000 to 30,000 people assembled
for a camp meeting that had a profound influence on American and
frontier religion. The meeting house is the original building, built
in 1791, and is the largest one-room log structure in the United
States, seating 400 people. There is also a museum building and
pioneer graveyard on the 5-acre area. Picnic areas are located on
the grounds.

This reconstructed pioneer fort commemorates the first permanent
settlement west of the Alleghenies,built by James Harrod near this
site in 1774. The cabins include authentic pioneer furniture and
crafts people in pioneer dress demonstrate such skills as blacksmithing,
quilting and dollmaking. The park also includes a pioneer cemetery;
the Mansion Museum, including Civil War and Indian displays; the
George Rogers Clark Memorial; and the cabin in which Abraham Lincoln's
parents were married. In the summer months, outdoor performances
of "Daniel Boone" are given in the park's amphitheater.

as the "Lion of White Hall,". He was an outspoken abolitionist,
newspaper publisher, U.S. Minister to Russia, and friend of Abraham

indoor plumbing in the mid-19th century, an unusual feature for
its time, and is furnished with many original Clay family items.
