Forestry

Forestry is the specialization of agriculture that studies the forest ecosystem and manages the renewable natural resources of our earth. Forestry at the University of Kentucky includes research in ecology, economics, genetics, hydrology, mensuration, physiology, silviculture, soils, surface mine reclamation, timber management, wildlife biology, and wood utilization. The program requires that all students spend a certain amount of time at UK's Robinson Forest in order to learn and research outside the classroom.
