Ani Katchova is on a fellowship leave from the University of Kentucky until Fall 2013. She is working as AAAS Policy Fellow at Economic Research Service, US Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC.
Biographical Information
Ani Katchova is an associate professor in the department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky. Her research areas are industrial organization, agricultural finance, agribusiness management and marketing, and applied econometrics. Her research has been published in leading journals such as the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Finance Review, and Agribusiness and has been funded by over $1.5 million in grants. She teaches an undergraduate course in agricultural financial management and a graduate course in applied econometrics. She has served as an associate editor for the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, an editorial board member for Agribusiness: An International Journal, a chair of the Agricultural Finance regional committee, a chair of the AAEA Economic Statistics and Information Resources committee, a member of several national review panels, and an advisory board. She is currently a AAAS Fellow at USDA and has completed a Fulbright Specialist Program in Austria and holds the honorary title of Kentucky Colonel. Dr. Katchova holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University and was a faculty member at the University of Illinois prior to joining the University of Kentucky.
