searchKentucky Cooperative Extension is excited to once again offer a piggy bank design contest for youth. The contest provides a creative way for youth to learn the importance of saving money and reducing debt.
The contest is open to all students currently attending public, private or home school located within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Youth from kindergarten through twelfth grade are encouraged to participate. As a new addition this year, the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority and the Kentucky Education Savings Plan Trust have offered statewide sponsorships. Fourteen $250 prizes will be awarded in the form of a KESPT college savings account. These prizes will be awarded to the creators of the two top piggy banks from each of Extension’s seven districts. The fourteen banks will be on display at the Kentucky Capitol during February 2013.
The official rules and regulations can be found online at http://uky.ag/moneywise/. Submissions will be accepted until December 3rd. Good luck to all those who participate in this year’s Piggy Bank Design Contest!
