2012 News

The University of Kentucky Student Dietetic and Nutrition Association (UKSDNA) aims to develop and encourage student interests in the study of nutrition and dietetics.  UKSDNA accomplishes this through social and professional contacts between students, faculty, and other nutrition/dietetics professionals.  Membership is open to all interested persons and strongly encouraged for human nutrition and dietetics majors.

In addition to professional development and networking, the organization regularly participates in university and community outreach projects.  This semester SDNA members have volunteered at Second Sunday in Fayette County, the Catholic Action Center and Hope Lodge.  The group prepared dinner for the Ronald McDonald House earlier this month and is participating in the UK Center for Community Outreach Thanksgiving Basket Drive.
