Internships

Summer 2009

Interning at City Beat as a Fashion Editorialist Intern was an amazing and new experience. It allowed me to exercise a lot of my own personal creativity as well as stay involved in my community. I am excited to be able to still submit my writings to City Beat even after the internship is complete - Ashley Thomas, Cincinnati, OH.

I never thought that I would get the opportunity to intern at a place like P3R in Beverly Hills, CA. I met some of the greatest people at my job site and learned more than I thought I would for just being an intern. We got to experience everything from styling celebrities that come into our showroom every day, to red carpet events. They offered me to come back when I graduate, so we will see where this year takes me! - Ariana Carusiello, Beverly Hills', LA

I have enjoyed working my summer internship at the Gap in Fayette Mall. Working as the store-wide Visual Merchandising Expert,  I have been able to put what I've learned in class to use. I can tell this is the beginning of a great career- Emily Love, Visual Manager , GAP, Lexington.

I have learned so much from my internship. I've worked with a product from start (revising samples) to finish (being allocated to the stores and eventually being purchased by our customers).I've worked in different categories with different buyers. I've worked with the visual team to see how they set up store displays. I've also worked in the stores- Rebecca Bodemer, Assistant Buyer Nashville, TN.

My internship at South Coast Plaza Nordstrom has been nothing less than incredible. I find it difficult to sum up a typical day, because each time I went into work, our Store Intern Coordinator had something new planned. Whether it was merchandising the floor, creating the team schedule, visiting the distribution center, or working the Fall Designer Preview Fashion Show, each experience was educational and memorable.
