Biography
Jeanne Davis is a member of the College of Agriculture Extension Administrative team and is the Administrative Liaison to Family and Consumer Sciences and Program Coordinator for the Cooperative Extension Service. Her expertise is in program development and management, program interpretation and public relations, team building, personnel management, resource management and organizational communication. She provides leadership for the following programs: Managing in Tough Times Initiative; HEEL Substance Abuse Prevention, Health Literacy and Health Extension programs; FCS Content Review Board; and College of Agriculture Marketing and UKAgStore. In addition, she is a member of the HES Leadership Team, Family Impact Seminar Steering Committee, facilitator for National Issues Forums in Kentucky, member of Nutrition Education Program committee, team leader for County Reviews, etc. She also contributes to developing resources and presenting trainings to extension agents and clientele pertinent to organizational communication.
Jeanne is a third generation extension employee. She began her career as a County Extension Agent in Caldwell County in western Kentucky. She also worked as a District Director in western Kentucky before obtaining her role as program coordinator for state programs. She has served as state president and national board member of the extension honorary fraternity, Epsilon Sigma Phi. She has received numerous recognitions including the prestigious Continued Excellence Award and Distinguished Service Award from Epsilon Sigma Phi.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree from New Mexico State University in Family and Consumer Sciences/Business. Jeanne holds two Master of Science degrees from Murray State University in Education and Organizational Communication.
