Past Events

SDA was out in full force at Campus Ruckus 2010. This year we featured a “sugar game” that allowed students to match test tubes full of sugar to the food with the same amount in one serving. It was a great success! 

Ag Roundup was held this year in the middle of September. SDA was present with a booth describing our efforts to fight local and global hunger. We presented a poster emphasizing our plate waste study, our with God’s Pantry and our contributions to the Kentucky Academy.

In October, SDA had several members help volunteer at the Cardinal Hill Employee Health Fair. Students answered nutrition questions from employees as well as calculated BMI. Posters explaining and informing employees about Cardiovascular Disease, Hypertension, Diabetes and Weight Management were also on display.
