Viburnum nudum 'Winterthur' - 'Winterthur' viburnum (Smooth Witherod) is known for it's
dark green shiny foliage. The late spring flowers are
showy white with some fragrance. This selection is from Winterthur Gardens in Delaware. The
blue fruit provides an ornamental effect which is at it's best before fall color; ripening and dropping as the exquisite red to purple fall color develops. The combination of all characteristics results in a plant with
full season appeal. The cultivar can be easily propagated by softwood cuttings treated with
hormone and placed under mist.
