Downloading Graphic Files
Right-clicking
To download files (not just graphic files), right-clicking on the
link provided is generally what you'll want to do. Left-clicking
will sometimes download a file, but more times than not, it will
cause your computer to try and open the file instead. Left-clicking
an EPS file will in most cases prompt you to save the file, but
left-clicking a TIF will probably start up the Quicktime program,
which just shows you a picture of the TIF. Which isn't very useful.
Right-clicking is the way to go:
- Hover over the link to the file that you want, and right-click
on it.
- In IE5 you'll get the flyout menu at the right.
- Choose "Save Target As...".
- You should then get the "Save As" dialog box
below. Save the file to your computer.

Downloading EPS files
When you "Save Target As" on some computers, the Save
procedure (above) wants to change the filename extension from EPS
to PS. It didn't do that in the above example, but on some computers
it will.
If the filename suggested in the Save on your computer is UKSig1.ps
(for example), change the extension back to EPS. None of your programs
will recognize the PS extension as belonging to a usable file. So
just make sure the file you save to your computer has the ".EPS"
at the end of the filename (like the one above), and everything
should be ok.
