Natural Products Alliance

The UK Natural Products Alliance brings together ideas, technology and people to stimulate innovation and economic development within Kentucky.

Through a National Science Foundation Partnerships for Innovation grant and continuation support from the colleges of Agriculture, Pharmacy, and Medicine, the Natural Products Alliance fosters collaboration among Kentucky universities, state and local government agencies, and private sector companies to facilitate the transformation of technology into novel products, processes and systems. In addition, the alliance encourages new entrepreneurial activities and works to enhance the infrastructure necessary for sustaining innovation. Our focus on natural products leverages Kentucky's existing competitive advantages for growth.

A cross-disciplinary Research Grants Program in Natural Products was established with support from the Colleges of Agriculture, Pharmacy, and Medicine.

Two grants were awarded, one to a collaboration between Pharmacy and Agriculture, and the other to a joint effort between Agriculture and Medicine.
