Leadership Survey Results

Below are the results from the survey of County Extension agents to assess local involvement in leadership development programs.

To help better coordinate and build leadership development efforts in Cooperative Extension, several individuals formed an informal group to better understand the number of leadership development programs that are happening across Kentucky and find ways to enhance leadership development and leadership development programs in Cooperative Extension.

As a first step in achieving these goals, the group decided to conduct a census of leadership development programs.  County Extension agents were surveyed to assess their involvement in leadership development programs.

Background

Starting in November, 2003 a short email survey was sent to all

County Cooperative Extension Agents.

This email requested information about: (1) the existence of leadership development programs in their county and (2) the role of Extension in these programs.  After two rounds of the survey, responses were received from 90 counties.  The remaining 30 county offices received additional follow-up contacts.  This resulted in a 99.2% response rate.

The Powerpoint file below contains the results from this survey.
