On Campus Interview
During
the fall and spring semesters, local, state, and national employers conduct
on-site interviews at the University
Career Center and the College of Agriculture. If you are a UK student or
alumni and have registered with the University Career Center, you are eligible
to participate in the on-campus interview program.
How do I register with the Career Center?
Students and alumni of the University of Kentucky must register with the University
Career Center in order to participate in the on-campus interview program and
be included in the database for referral to prospective employers.
Register online through Career Center Wildcat CareerLink by calling the Career Center
at 859-257-2746 to request a USERID and password.
Interview Sign-ups
All interview applications and scheduling are performed online through Career
Center Wildcat CareerLink. Note the date, time and location of the interview! If you
fail to keep a scheduled interview appointment, we reserve the right to prohibit
you from interviewing again. Interviews are important, but so are your classes--plan
in accordance with the demands of your academic program. There is no limit
to the number of interviews you may schedule as long as you have a sincere
interest in the position, meet the employer's criteria and have properly prepared
for the interview.
Accepting Employment Congratulations!
Please notify the Career Center or the College of Agriculture Career Development
Specialist of your employment offer and subsequent acceptance. Once you have
accepted employment, you will not be permitted to schedule interviews.
CAREER CENTER NOTE:
Open recruitment is an essential ingredient of the On-Campus interview program.
This policy recognizes the right of the individual student/alumnus to decide
freely whether she/he wishes to discuss employment with any employer visiting
campus. The interview application process was developed to enhance the opportunity
for all students to present their qualifications to potential employers. Any
student/alumnus of any major may apply for an interview with any employer visiting
the University of Kentucky. Likewise, employers may select any University of
Kentucky student/alumnus for an interview. you develop your career interests.
