UK Sustainable Agriculture
Undergraduate Curriculum & Initiatives

Sustainable agriculture integrates environmental stewardship, economic profitability, and social responsibility. Ecosystem-level understanding and analytical skills help land managers to cooperate rather than compete with nature. Managing a farming system ecologically can lessen adverse impacts on natural resources, wildlife, and human communities.

The College of Agriculture at the University of Kentucky is now offering an undergraduate curriculum in Sustainable Agriculture. Students can obtain a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Agriculture within the Individualized Programs track. In addition, students in other majors can obtain a Minor in Sustainable Agriculture. Detailed information on these exciting programs can be found at our Curriculum page.
