DESCRIPTION
This is a unique campus organization that is open to all students, undergraduate and graduate. Past 4-H
affiliation is not a pre-requisite to participation. Each club determines its own meeting schedule, but
most meet twice a month. Programs include social, recreational, community service and educational interests. These are
planned by and for the members and other students. Faculty/staff members serve as advisors.
Agents in counties with colleges/universities usually work closely with advisors and members to
especially encourage involvement in leadership roles in county programs. Clubs may affiliate with the
national organization if they choose. (A national conference held each April is rotated from state to state
if not held at the National 4-H Center. National officers are elected. There is also a Southern Region
Conference held, usually, in October or November.)
