KNOWING SEWING SKILLATHON
Sewing, like other bodies of knowledge, is full of terms, symbols, techniques, parts and notations. The more you know about sewing, the better and more skilled you can become at it. To become knowledgeable, you must use or practice the information and skills associated with sewing
The sewing skillathon described is designed to help 4-H’ers become more knowledgeable and skilled. Each project unit is designed to emphasize or focus on various skills or techniques, building on what have been introduced in previous units. Learning can, and should be fun! The sewing skillathon is designed to be a “fun as you learn” activity.
For more information on conducting a Knowing Sewing Skillathon refer to the 4-H Sewing Notebook or CD.
