Description

Held at the Kentucky 4-H Leadership Center in Jabez, KY for youth who are currently enrolled in 7th and 8th grades.  This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communications skills.  This program is also designed to inspire pre-teens to remain active in the 4-H program and to acquaint them with the programs and activities available to them as senior 4-H members.  Planned and designed to satisfy a wide range of interests.  Delegates choose from several interest areas including leadership, communications and citizenship.  Objectives are accomplished through hands on active workshops, guest speakers, seminars, group living, recreation, and recognition.

Objectives

1)      To develop leadership, citizenship and life skills,

2)      To develop knowledge and skills in specific areas,

3)      To gain skills that can be used in club and county 4-H Programs,

4)      To have fun, make new friends and develop social skills.

5)      To become better acquainted with the programs, events and activities that are available to senior 4-H members.

Location: Kentucky 4-H Leadership Center, Jabez, KY

Theme:  “Tag, You’re It!”

Date: October 21-23, 2005

Costs: $75 (includes all lodging and meals, conference t-shirts, activity fees) (counties or district may choose to charge additional fee to cover transportation)
