The 4-H Dairy project offers members the opportunity to learn about the Dairy Industry through a wide range of activities and events.  First you will want to check with your local Cooperative Extension Service office to see what is available in your county.  If there is not a club currently available, check into how you can get one started.

Dairy activities are available at the local, district, state and national levels.  If you would like to show an animal but don’t have the resources to purchase your own, you may want to look into the non-ownership project where you lease an animal from a dairy farmer.  There are also activities such as Dairy Quiz Bowl and Dairy Judging that can give you the chance to increase your knowledge of the dairy industry as well as improve your skills in observation, public speaking and analysis.  When you reach the senior level there are also chances to travel out of state and learn about the dairy industry by attending the National 4-H Dairy Conference.

For additional information please contact your County CES 4-H Agent.
