The annual 4-H Issues Conference is a four-day gathering of top student leaders from across the Commonwealth.
The conference is held annually during the fall. It is open to high school sophomores and juniors who display leadership potential and who will make a commitment to implement what they learn back home. Adults and Extension Agents are also eligible to attend as members of a team. Team size is limited to two youth and one adult participant per county. Counties may use the unused quotas of other counties in the area so long as the quota for the District as a whole is not exceeded.
The conference will be held at the Kentucky Leadership Center during November. At the conference, participants share thoughts and concerns regarding those issues and learn the process skills necessary to organize for community action back home. Delegates use a case study methodology to practice applying what they learn. |
