The Youth Hunter Education Challenge (YHEC) is an advanced youth hunting program open to all youth who have completed their basic hunter-safety training in Hunter Education. The program improves young people's outdoor skills in the areas of rifle, archery, muzzleloader, shotgun, wildlife identification, map and compass (orienteering), ethics, as well as increasing their awareness of safety, and much more.
