Graduate Student Association

The graduate student association, known as “APPS” (Association of Plant Pathology Scholars) was established in 2003 to voice student opinions and to keep students informed of new departmental policies. This support group meets every few months to update graduate students on possible policy changes that directly affect them. To voice these graduate student opinions and concerns, a student representative is present at every faculty meeting. The graduate student association also plans social and enrichment programs such as the annual departmental picnic and the graduate student retreat.
