Agricultural
Economics at the University of Kentucky is composed of 27 agricultural economics faculty members engaged in teaching, research,
and extension, 10 area farm management extension specialists working with the Farm Business Analysis Program located
throughout the Commonwealth plus a program coordinator.
Agricultural Economics department has nine staff assistants and 3-5 technical and professional staff members to provide staff support for our programs; and approximately 40 graduate students evenly split between M.S. and Ph.D.; and 200 undergraduate majors.
The department works to provide knowledge and information that will assist in solving social and economic problems important to the state, region, nation, and international community through instruction (resident and off- campus) and research.
