The last fruit of discussion is fruit that grows on runners. Runners are long stems that have nodes, or little black spots, that produce roots and flowers for a new plant. Runners grow along the ground. New plants grow from the nodes as the runner gets longer. The most common plant that grows on runners are strawberries.
