| Once
the tobacco as been put in the barn, the barn is completely closed
up and a highly controlled fire is set in the bottom. Sawdust
is used as fuel for the smoldering fire. The smoke and heat from
the fire help the tobacco to dry and change color. This process
is called curing. |
