Breeding

Breeding is the selection process used to try and improve the characteristics of plant or animal. Genetically superior parents are selected for breeding in a cyclic process until the desired trait is recieved. The goal of breeding is to produce genetically improved populations.

Breeding may also refer to the actual mating of two animals.
