Cooperative Extension Service (CES)The Cooperative Extension Service (CES) was created by the Smith-Lever Act of 1914. This system was created to place an extension of the land grant university into every county in the form of a county agent. It connects the federal, state and local governments so that research from the Agricultural Experiment Stations could be transmitted to the people who could use this information .
