Equine Viral Rhinopneumontis is one of several herpes virus - type 1, type 2, or type 3. Type 1 is the major cause of rhinopneumontis in the United States. Secondary bacterial infection is often complicating factor. Signs: high fever, cough, abortions most common during last third of pregnancy
