Sodbuster
The Sodbuster provision was included in the 1985 Farm Security Act which specified requirements for access to federal farm benefits. It stated that if highly erodible lands weren't being cropped between 1981 and 1985, but then put into production, there must have an approved conservation plan to continue to be eligible for farm program benefits.
