StranglesStrangles is caused by Streptococcus Equi and is an acute contagious disease of the upper respiratory tract with inflamed lymph nodes between the jaws and abscessed form. Horses will have a thick yellowish nasal discharge. Usually affects horses from 1 to 5 years of age. Not fatal and horse recover fully.
