Transfection (Transduction)Transfection (transduction) is a natural process by which genetic change occurs in bacteria. Sometimes the excision of a virus is not perfect and part of the host DNA is carried off with the viral DNA. When the virus reinfects a new host, this DNA is inserted into the new chromosome. |
