Gametes
Gametes are the sex cells produced for reproduction. These sex cells contain the one of each pair of chromosomes that are present in the cells of the body. Within these chromosomes are genes, the basic units of inheritance.
The gametes produced by the testicles are sperm and the gametes produced by the ovaries are eggs, or ova.
