Since 2003, Danielle Jacques is the acting Director, Library and Information Management Services, at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). She is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in the development, marketing and coordinated delivery of national AAFC information management services. It includes the provision of the Canadian Agriculture Library services through the headquarters in Ottawa and 21 points of service across the country. Her other areas of responsibilities include departmental IM advisory and document management services.

A member of the Canadian Federal Civil Service since 1981, Ms. Jacques has spent most of her career at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in increasing managerial positions. She has also worked for the National Research Council as well as the Treasury Board Secretariat.

Ms. Jacques holds a graduate degree in agriculture from Université Laval as well as a master in library sciences from McGill University.
