Being involved with MANRRS provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain exposure to the wide variety of careers in agriculture related areas. Benefits of membership in MANRRS are numerous. They include developing leadership skills, becoming aware of trends in agricultural sciences and related fields, providing opportunities for professional development and community service, as well social interaction. Students in MANRRS also have the opportunity to attend the Annual Career Fair and Training Conference. Here, the participants attend workshops, compete in various contests, and network with peers and professionals in agricultural sciences and related fields.

The College of Agriculture is committed to creating a positive environment for students in they are able to excel academically, socially, and personally. Our Student Services Office offers a wide range of services and support to students including admissions information, academic program information, student organization guidance, advising, and career counseling.




This program is designed to recruit, retain, and provide support to students interested in majoring in science, technology, and engineering who are minorities or from Appalachian counties. AMSTEMM is funded through a grant by the National Science Foundation. A feature of the program includes the AMSTEMM summer program which exposes rising high school seniors to various science and engineering disciplines as well as cutting-edge research currently being conducted on UK’s campus.
