Call For Presentations
Please Submit Presentation Proposals by May 30th, 2005

• New tools or techniques that have been successfully implemented to improve water quality?
The Southern Regional Water Quality Program is requesting presentations for the 2005 Southern Regional Water Quality Conference to be held on October 23rd-26th in Lexington , Kentucky . As part of our continuing effort to stay abreast of recent innovations and tools to improve water quality, the committee is soliciting oral and poster presentation proposals.
You are invited to attend and participate in this forum offering opportunities to share your ideas, explore the research, and to network with peers in water quality research, Extension and education.
Proposals should address the goal of the conference. Guidelines for submitting your proposal are outlined below.
The goal of the conference is to strengthen the capacity for Extension professionals to develop and deliver successful water quality programs. Our objective is to provide an opportunity to share successful education strategies and programs, by addressing current and emerging water quality and other environmental issues, and by offering a forum for exchange of ideas and information.
Presentations are invited from participants in these three focus groups with program areas listed below each focus group:
• Agricultural Pollution Prevention
• Rural Environmental Protection
• Watershed Management
Selected presentations will be organized into these tracks. Each presentation will be 30 minutes. An opportunity will be provided to publish presentations to the on-line Water Quality Conference Proceedings.
Please submit presentation proposals by May 30th, 2005. Final decisions for presentations will be made and the presenters will be notified. A tentative program will be available by July, 2005 that will indicate the time, date, and session of presentations.
Presenters will be required to pay the conference registration fee of $220 (early-bird fee) or $295 (late registration fee) which includes three breakfasts, two lunches, one dinner, and a tour.
