Conserving water can be very important, especially in times with reduced rainfall. Here are some simple tips you can follow to practice water conservation every day.

• Turn off the tap in the bathroom while you brush your teeth or shave.
• Fill a pitcher with tap water and put in the fridge rather than running the tap every time you want a drink.
• Check faucets, toilets and pipes for leaks.
• Use a broom to clean sidewalks and driveways instead of a hose.
• Water your lawn in the early morning to avoid evaporation.
• Wash fruits and vegetables in a large bowl of water instead of under a running faucet.
• Install low flow showerheads and faucet flow restrictors.
