Water leaks can be costly for homeowners, especially if you are paying a monthly water bill and they can waste a lot of water. Did you know that a dripping faucet can waste as much as 25 gallons of water per day? Take the time to check your home for water leaks.
Indoors you should check:
A simple way to test your toilet for leaks is to place 3 or 4 drops of food coloring in the toilet tank. Then, let the toilet set for one hour without using or flushing. If the color shows up in the bowl, you have a leak.
Often water leaks can be repaired easily by replacing washers, tightening fittings or replacing simple parts. Keep your home free of water leaks.
