Types of Positions
This position provides leadership and management to the overall county 4-H youth development program. The program will include a wide range of opportunities designed to foster positive youth development. The agent will work directly with youth and will recruit and train volunteer leaders to work with youth.
Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent
This position provides leadership for educational programs in agriculture and natural resources and requires broad technical knowledge of subjects related to the agricultural resources of the county. In cooperation with Extension Specialists, Agriculture Agents develop field trials, test demonstrations and result demonstrations in areas related to agricultural production and natural resources.
Family & Consumer Sciences Agent
This position provides leadership for educational programs in family and consumer sciences. The position requires a broad technical knowledge of subjects such as nutrition, child and family well-being and management. Family and Consumer Science Agents provide programs which foster individual development such as Extension Homemakers, Master Volunteers, and programs for limited resource audiences.
This position is responsible for the organization, promotion, and management of fine arts community programs and the marketing of fine arts programs and products as it relates to community development. The agent will work directly with youth and adults and will partner with other fine arts resources in the community.
This position is responsible for educational programs in home and commercial horticulture. The agent will conduct field trials and test demonstrations related to horticulture and will serve as a resource to the community through answering horticulture related consumer and producer questions.
