Approximately two to six weeks after their start date, new agents will participate in a 2 ½ day orientation held in Lexington. The purpose of this session is to help new agents better understand the nature of the Cooperative Extension Service in Kentucky and to provide a foundation on which knowledge and skills will be developed throughout an Extension career. Orientation sessions are held four times each year and agents will attend only one of these sessions. Orientation dates are available from the Extension Personnel Office.
