Dick and Jane Food Safety Campaign

As you know from recent news, food safety is a serious matter. During Spring Semester 2007, Associate Professor Dr. Mary Roseman in the Department of Nutrition and Food Science, assisted by dietetics students in NFS 403, conducted a 7-week food safety education campaign at UK. The campaign targeted undergraduate students. Content for this program was funded through a grant from Rutgers University and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA 2003-51110-01736).

All food safety education campaign events were conducted at Commons Market, Blazer Cafe and via the College of Agriculture website. Information from the website is provided here. In addition to the education campaign, a pre and post campaign survey was administered to students. Preliminary results of the survey will be provided on this website in the near future.
