I’m interested in the control/eradication of invasive exotic species, and the restoration of native plant and wildlife communities.

Personal Interests:

Hiking, backpacking, conservation issues, history (particularly of Kentucky and the South), and bourbon.

Recent Projects:

I'm working on methods of controlling the invasive exotic plant Lonicera japonica (Japanese honeysuckle) during the dormant season.  This is potentially a way to restore native plants present in the seedbank and therefore increase biodiversity and improve wildlife habitat relatively inexpensively.
