About Us

On March 27, 2008, representatives from eleven southern forestry programs and the Society of American Foresters met in Knoxville, Tennessee to discuss recruiting at southern forestry programs. Twenty-one individuals, including associate deans, department heads, professors, and recruiters attended the day-long meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss recruiting experiences and ideas. At the end of the meeting, it was determined that a recruiting network of southern forestry programs was needed. It was also determined that a recruiting information clearinghouse website could provide recruiting tools for faculty and recruiters. Therefore, the Forestry Recruiting Information Clearinghouse was created.

 

The purpose of this website is to provide recruiting information for university personnel involved with recruiting forestry undergraduate students. This website is supported by a network of individuals involved with southern forestry programs. Through this website, southern forestry programs are joining together to share recruiting information on:
