	This page will list new material added to the Forestry Recruiting Information Clearinghouse. Please visit this page periodically to see what new material has been added. May 2010 In 2009, we began a project to gather information on why students major in forestry and what are some of the recruiting techniques that influence students to major in forestry. Preliminary information on the recruiting survey has been added to the data collection section. Additional information on the survey results will be added once they are complete. Updated and added new links to the resources section. June 2009 Added a Clemson University handout on The Forestry and Natural Resources Minority Sponsorship Initiative (brochure - pdf). November 2008 The University of Minnesota's Department of Forest Resources has used highway billboards as a recruiting tool for their department. They have shared with us some of their lessons learned on using billboards to recruit forestry students. Click here to learn more. October 2008 The Society of American Foresters has a new brochure on forestry careers (brochure -pdf). The forestrycareers.org website has a one-page announcement brochure (brochure - pdf) for the website. May 2008 Forestry Recruiting Information Clearinghouse is established! May 2010

In 2009, we began a project to gather information on why students major in forestry and what are some of the recruiting techniques that influence students to major in forestry.
