Weather Alert

Low temperatures with overnight frosts are forecast for central Kentucky during Saturday and Sunday nights (March 29th and 30th) to be preceded by thunderstorms possibly accompanied by winds and hail on Friday evening. Changes in weather patterns have in the past been associated with the occurrence of MRLS. In consideration of the above, it is recommended that horse owners and farm managers in central Kentucky review their standard practices for the management of pregnant mares over the next several days.
