Come join dietetic and hospitality management students as they learn quantity foods production using Kentucky-grown foods through their operation of the Lemon Tree Restaurant. The Lemon Tree is located on the second floor of Erikson Hall and serves lunch each Tuesday and Thursday at noon sharp.Reservations are required for the Lemon Tree. Students in the Lemon Tree are team-taught and directed by Dr. Sandra Bastin, an Extension Professor in the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition, and Bob Perry, Coordinator of the Food Systems Initiative in the College of Agriculture. Dr. Bastin is a Registered Dietitian and American Culinary Federation Certified Culinary Educator with extensive experience in the restaurant field. Mr. Perry is a professional chef with over 25 years of experience in the US and abroad.
The Lemon Tree will begin service for Spring 2013 on January 24th All menus are served with water for $10.00; Tea, Coffee, and Colas extra. Service is provided by Dietetic and Hospitality, Management, and Tourism Students from the School of Human Environmental Sciences. Donations are accepted for the Lemon Tree Student Scholarship Fund.
