Horsequest.info was developed by Southern Region Equine Extension Specialists to provide horse owners, consumers and other visitors a source of reliable and updated horse information on the World Wide Web through a database of commonly asked horse questions that have science-based, peer-reviewed answers. This is accomplished by coordinating the 13 southern region land-grant Universities and their Equine Specialists to provide answers to clientele asking horse questions. The site partners are dedicated to providing science-based horse information to meet three goals:

1. Create and maintain a current, refereed database of answers to commonly asked horse questions.

2. Retain qualified experts based on areas of expertise in horse science for answering questions.
