Impact Statement

Master Horseman

We have branched out in our programming beyond what we would have ever believed. In early 2005 we conducted an equine nutrition meeting and from there we grew into setting up and conducting the Master Horseman classes in our county. We had 15-20 participants and some of their family members to sign up and attend the classes. They were charged a registration fee and a meal and class materials were purchased from this fee.

These participants were a clientele base that we were not reaching. It has brought new and energetic clientele into our office and we have improved the relationship between the Saddle Club and the University Of Kentucky Equine Specialists (Dr. Robert Coleman) and the local veterinarians.

Monetary improvements in the equine industry has yet to be seen, but management skills in the equine industry in Breckinridge County have been improving and we will survey the participants on their needs for 2007. We are looking forward to this relationship.
