To help meet the many changes in livestock production in Pendleton County, and better understand the potential of goat production. An Extension educational program was introduced this spring. Dr. Kenneth Andries from KSU and myself presented information on feeding, forages, parasitic disease and seed stock selection. Approximately 20 people attended this meeting. Four producers later attended a goat tour with Dr. Andries in Ohio and Indiana for three days. As a result of this program, I have had several producers expand their goat herd and from knowledge gained three producers made the decision not to have goats.
