Mission

The Office of International Programs for Agriculture was established in 1975 to coordinate and facilitate international activities in the College.  Its functions are to assist students and faculty in obtaining opportunities for international study, research or other professional work; to liaise with funding agencies and on-campus units with international interests; to assist international students and visiting scholars in the College and to inform faculty and administrators of developments in international agriculture which may be of importance to the college.  The office manages international developmental contracts and grants related to agricultural education, research, development or extension.  Such activities may include providing technical assistance, management of academic training programs, organization of short courses or on the job training, and assistance in acquiring U.S. commodities.  The office facilitates student and faculty exchanges or research collaboration under memoranda of understanding with foreign agricultural institutions.
