France Study Tour

France

2-week study tour (2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, typical itinerary)--in May (after final exams) -- cost approx. $2,800/student (airfare, lodging, meals, and transportation in France).  Student will receive 3 credit hours for the mandatory Spring orientation.

4-week internship after 2-week study tour.  Host family will provide room and board.  Student can earn 3 credit hours for internship.

The college may provide scholarship to support the study tour.

04:30 p.m.    Welcome meeting at ENESAD
07:00 p.m.    Dinner with ENESAD students

Wednesday, May 14
09:00 a.m.     Introduction to Historic Burgundy and guided tour of downtown Dijon
02:00 p.m.    General introduction to Burgundy
03:30 p.m.    Tour of a "small red fruit" farm at Concoeur
05:30 p.m.    Reception at the City Hall of Dijon (Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy)

Thursday, May 15
10:00 a.m.     Tour of the Cistercian Abbey of Fontenay (11th  Century)
12:30 p.m.    Lunch at the farmer restaurant of Flavigny - fortified middle age city
